The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have suspended their 36-day old strike. The union embarked on strike on August 14th.
The President of the union, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, announced that the union will suspend their action and give the federal government till the end of October so that the Federal government can fulfill all the promises it had made to the association.
He said failure to fulfill the agreement would result in the resumption of the strike.
The Union embarked on an indefinite strike action on August 14th, following government’s failure to implement the agreement reached with the union in November 2016.
