The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the result of the Osun state rerun election, held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 declaring Isiaka Oyetola the winner.

A statement by Soji Adagunodo, Osun PDP Chairman, obtained by SaharaReporters, noted that the poll was marred with malpractices.
Adagunodo described the exercise as “broad daylight robbery and a brazen assault” on the state and country’s democracy.
He accused the APC of conniving with security agents at the polling units to “manipulate” the rerun election process.
The PDP chairman pointed out that scores of PDP supporters were also disallowed entry and chased away from the polling units by hired thugs, just as he noted that thousands of eligible voters were chased away from their homes in Orolu, Ife North and Ife South Local Governments in the early hours of Thursday.
